Looking Forward to 3D Animation

During the first week of 3D modeling I have learned to create a character using primitive shapes. But to go even more in depth with the primitive shapes, we used tools such as; Deformations, NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines), Boole’s, and Null objects to give these primitive objects shape.

As I grow more and more fond of the 3D world, I searched out more knowledge and fond this really interesting tutorial on YouTube. This tutorial was showing how you can take a Quicktime video and place it on an animated cube. After seeing this video tutorial I said to myself “WOW! I love this program.” even though fellow classmates that took the class before me think I am crazy, but everyone has their preference.

If you find this 3D world as interesting as I do and want to look at this tutorial here is the link for your viewing pleasure. Till next time and thanks for reading, Brian.

Here is the link to my latest website. But after looking at it over and over again it still needs some more tweaking. But for the most part it is complete.

Design Magazines Used as Part of Your Design Pallet

I have recently embarked on a reading frenzy of a few magazines dealing with graphic design. The three issues that I purchased were well worth the money. They were full of useful information as well as tutorials in all programs such as: Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and so on. But the magazines also contained interesting articles on artist in the market such as Christian Partl and John Masse. I find this a very useful tool in my quest in becoming a better graphic designer and would recommend it as part of your design pallet.

My purchase included:
Layers Magazine (www.layersmagazine.com)
Computer Arts (www.computerarts.co.uk)
Practical Webdesign Magazine (www.pwdmagazine.com)

Post Delivery Systems 1

So I have just ended my first month of Delivery systems, basically generating web design.  I ask myself what have I learned and what troubles have I encountered?  The troubles I have encountered were the learning opportunities I have gained.  I have successfully designed three web pages and went live on two. The links are posted below.  I learned how to lay content with images, as well as, posted internal and external links throughout the pages.  I set forth into my second month of web design and I have an open mind to my many learning opportunities.

Post Graduation

So after college I have six months before the payments begin.  As I go through class I hear from many outside sources how hard the market is for a graphic designers. So I ask myself how will I make myself stand out among the rest?  Hopefully the tools and advice I receive in school will aid me in my quest to become a great graphic artist.  Any other advice and tips will be helpful.  Thank you.

Career Goals

Upon completing my degree with Keiser University I am thinking about my career goals.  I ask myself, what should I do?   Where do I want to be?  I thought about finishing my education by going to the University of South Florida by entering their N.R.O.T.C program. Then taking my career through the Navy to gain experience in graphic design.  This way when I leave the Navy I will have working experience in graphic design to add on my resume. Also during my enlistment I hope to achieve freelance jobs.  As where I want to be as a graphic designer, I wish to be a graphic designer for an organization affiliated with Drum Corps international.

These are the ideas that are formulating with in this scattered brain of mine.  I know I still have a lot of research to do on this matter. So any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Brian Gould.
